About: (Chinese Name: Yu Xing Cao) Houttuynia, aka Chameleon plant, is a creeping herbaceous perennial native to East Asia. It has been used as a condiment, with a lemony taste, (though the leaves are fishy-smelling) in Asian cuisine. Easy to grow, this plant spreads by its rhizomes and is considered somewhat invasive. Used as a ground cover, Houttuynia does prefer moist soil, and thrives in full sun to part shade. The fresh herb is more effective than the dried. Houttuynia has been used traditionally to treat various types of infections and inflammation. It is a pungent, cold and dry herb that has decongesting, detoxifying, and astringing qualities.

Recommended Dosage:  30-60 drops OR 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon, 2-4 times per day in juice or water. *Please note our recommended dosage may differ from other sources.
