About Elderberry: In early autumn the Elder berries turn a deep purple and if we are lucky we get to harvest the bounty of these berries before the birds eat them all! Some people cook the berries into jams and pies. We prepare a sweet glycerite that many enjoy through the fall and winter time. Safe for children and elderly as well as adults - and yummy!
