Percentage of organic non-GMO alcohol used: Fresh: 60-65%, Dried: 55-60%

Ratio plant to menstruum: Fresh root: 1:2, Dried root: 1:4

Kava can be taken as a low dose extract, that is- one need only a few drops to feel the relaxing qualities of this unique shrub. Recommended Dosage: Begin with low dose of 3-5 drops in water 2-3 times per day. You can increase to 10-15 drops 2-3 times per day. Kava extract has an earthy, somewhat bitter taste. I find simply using 1-3 drops of the extract in 3 ounce of water is a perfect dose for me.
