About: An evergreen shrub that is native to western North America. Its lovely bright yellow and mildly fragrant flowers bloom in spring, and are the state flower of Oregon. Supportive and restorative to the upper digestive organs, this stimulating herb enlivens as it clears. Rich in berberine, Oregon Grape Root is similar in action to Barberry and Goldthread, two herbs found in the woodlands of the Northeast.
