This remarkable plant was first brought to our attention twenty years ago by our friend and herb colleague Stephen Harrod Buhner who was researching both local and global herbs that could address Lyme and other tick-borne infections impact on people and animals.

The alkaloid cryptolepine found in this golden root appears to be the active constituent that provides support for those dealing with these persistent pathogens.
