About: This beautiful, aromatic and bitter rhizome is known as a dye plant, in cooking, and is also popular due to its qualities~ decongesting, relaxing, calming, dissolving, astringing, pungent, with both warming and cooling potential. Its action supports the heart, blood, digestion, liver and gall bladder, ease of movement, tending inflammation, strengthening the joints and tendons. In Ayurveda, turmeric is considered an herb that clears Kapha accumulations from the lower abdomen, promote the flow of menses and support healthy skin.
