The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel as well as circle or cycle. In yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, the term Chakra refers to wheels of energy throughout the body. Many systems speak of seven chakras. In this Woodland Essence Chakra set there are nine central chakras, which align along the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head; the top chakra is like a Fountain of energy that arcs back to the feet. To visualize a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy called Prana is one’s vital life force, which keeps one vibrant, healthy, and alive.
The chakras are the centers in our bodies through which energy flows; each chakra absorbs and distributes Prana / Life Force to our physical bodies. If the Prana energy is locked into a chakra — little energy can rise to the chakra above. Also, when too many unresolved emotions or memories are stored in a chakra, it can also become blocked.
These nine essence combinations were created with joy and attention in a meditative space and time over the course of a week just after the New Year, 1995. We offer them in the spirit in which they came together — in the hopes that they may support the health of your chakras, your mind, spirit, and body, and bring you peace.
